An Iraqi War veteran says Las Vegas Metro officers beat him at McCarran International Airport. Below is a video of the alleged beating two months ago.
National Guard Sergeant Mark England says the officers beat him with a nightstick and shot him with a taser after an argument with TSA agents at the airport. The Metro officers involved are still working and Metro says, based on the video, they believe the officer did nothing wrong. You be the judge.
I know all too well how lousy many cops treat veterans after the vets return home. One would think there would be a natural bond between us since we both fight or fought bad guys. Not true.
I couldn’t live in my hometown after I returned because the police seemed to zero in on veterans like me. Their treatment of me and other vets was nothing short of blatant harassment. It’s almost like they were jealous of us. It’s very weird.
I knew if I stayed, I’d end up in jail just for becoming too angry and one day reacting to their abuse. So I left. Now I’m careful about who I let know that I’m a veteran…a disabled veteran no less. Talk about friendly fire!
